Matej Kožar

Matej is an electrical computer engineer by qualification. The Pisces zodiac has always felt at home in the water. He started free diving at a young age, as a mask and fins were his must-have equipment at sea, and his head was underwater more than above the surface. He first trained in swimming during his primary school years, before handball took over the main sporting role in his life for many years. Snorkelling/snorkelling was also ever-present, unfortunately limited to the summer months. At the age of 16, he got his first harpoon and felt a great passion for spearfishing, which continues to this day. Because his own safety is the most important thing to Matthew and his family (with 3 children), he decided to take a beginner’s course in scuba diving. He became obsessed with freediving, followed by a few more courses offered by Jure and H2O, and finally an instructor course at the internationally renowned PSS diving school, under the mentorship of instructor Jure Daić.
