Alan is a Bachelor of Engineering. electrical engineering. Born in Izola, he has been very close to the sea since he was a little boy. Most of the sports he did were water-related: still-water paddling, surfing, white-water kayaking and, finally, free diving.
He came across free diving by accident, so to speak, when his wife told him that someone was giving a lecture on free diving in the centre of Novo mesto. That was, of course, Jure Daić. Soon Alan was attending his many courses, where it became immediately apparent that he had innate potential.
Today he is an active competitor mainly in pool disciplines. In recent years, he has been regularly competing at the highest level and has also been aiming for the very top. He also spear fishes as much as time allows. But his greatest passion remains statics.
